Diocesan Grant Deadlines: March 1st & August 1st
Grant Application for ALL Diocesan Grants
The Holy Communion Fund: The purpose of this grant is to provide financial assistance to any congregation within the Diocese of Western New York that has a need relating to physical building/construction issues. All congregations are invited to apply.
The Outreach Fund: The purpose of this grant is to assist congregations to transform their concepts of hope into reality so as to best serve their communities through outreach. Funds are available for congregations within the Diocese of Western New York that are initiating or enhancing a congregation-based outreach program. Collaborative projects with other congregations and organizations are encouraged. Grants have traditionally remained under $5,000 per application.
The Reynolds Funds: The purpose of this grant is to support congregations with church development and growth, the expansion of mission and outreach programs, and the creation of new or collaborative ministries within the Diocese of Western New York. Although initiated with a special emphasis on congregations geographically located in Cattaraugus County and the southern area of the diocese, all congregations are invited to apply.
2026 United Thank Offering Grants
Application materials are now available for the 2026 United Thank Offering Annual Grants, with a focus on Justice and Bridging Divides. Applications must demonstrate how two disconnected groups will collaborate on a project that works toward meaningful change within a local community. More information, including the 2026 Grant Application, is available online. Application deadline is February 27, 2026.
Dismantling Racism & Discrimination Grants
The Commission to Dismantle Racism and Discrimination is offering grants to congregations with initiatives inspired by the Commission’s Pledge of Faith and Action Against Racial Injustice: LEARN―PRAY―ACT―ADVOCATE.
Funding is available for expenses related to initiatives that enable learning, prayer, action and advocacy in fulfillment of the Pledge of Faith and Action to Dismantle Racism. Examples include, but are not limited to, the purchase of books, curriculums, training materials, speaker fees, program supplies, equipment, transportation, mailing, printing, community outreach, event refreshments and other types of expenses. Congregations can apply for grants from $25 to $750 using this Grant Application. For more information, email the Rev. Canon Helen Harper.
Saint James Music Press Grant Application
Saint James Music Press, an online church music publishing house that has been providing accessible scores and musical resources since 1992, will award a grant to a church starting or revitalizing a choir program. The purpose of the grant is to support new music programs or established music ministries that are adding a new element by offering resources and professional support.
The deadline to submit an application was May 30, 2025. More information is available online. Once details of the 2026 Grant are provided, it will be announced.
