Every Congregation. Every Voice. A Shared Future.
Before moving forward in the search for our next bishop, we are taking time to listen more deeply to one another. Beginning June 7, trained listening teams will visit congregations throughout Western New York and invite parishioners to share their experiences, hopes, and dreams for the diocese. Building on earlier surveys and conversations, this renewed listening initiative is designed to ensure that voices from every corner of the diocese — urban and rural, large and small — help shape our future.
The Summer Listening Campaign represents an important step in strengthening relationships and rediscovering our shared identity. What we hear will inform a revised diocesan profile and help guide the search for a bishop who understands both who we are and who God may be calling us to become. This is more than preparation for an election; it is an opportunity to reconnect as a diocesan family.
