The Canons of the Episcopal Church require every Diocese to implement procedures for investigating and addressing allegations of misconduct on the part of any member of the clergy in the Diocese.
Reports of misconduct are made to the Intake Officer of the Diocese: The Rev. Martha Ishman.
Anyone may report information concerning possible misconduct by a clergy person in any of the following ways:
- Telephone call – 814-456-4203
- Letter – 1064 Brighton Rd., Tonawanda, NY 14051
- Or by using any of those methods to set up an in person appointment
The Intake Officer will notify the Bishop, make preliminary inquiries as necessary and submit a written report to the Bishop and the President of the Disciplinary Board who will then meet together to determine appropriate actions and responses.
Additional information and resources concerning the Episcopal Church’s disciplinary process may be found on the newly launched Title IV site.
