Bishop Franklin invites the Diocese of Western New York to join him at the March For Our Lives Buffalo event in Niagara Square on Saturday March 24 from 1:30 – 3 pm.
The March for Our Lives is the local version of the march taking place in Washington D.C. that same day. The march is in response to the Parkland school shooting and is an outgrowth of the advocacy of the young survivors of that shooting. The goal is to advocate for action to make schools safe places for young people.
During Lent many congregations in the Diocese have been reading the Gospel of Luke. Luke’s Gospel is one of the places in Scripture that show us what the kingdom of God looks like and that commissions all of us to take action to make our world more like the kingdom of God.
On Thursday March 22 at 6:30 pm at the Diocesan Ministry Center we will gather to discuss some portions of the book of Luke and to sing and pray and eat together.
Please put both events on your calendars.
