Second Annual Warden and Vestry Day

The Second Annual Warden and Vestry Day will be Saturday February 25 at the Diocesan Ministry Center (1064 Brighton Rd, Tonawanda).

All wardens and members of vestry are invited (the clergy are invited to tag along if they want).

Check in begins at 9:30 and the program begins at 10 am.  The day will include Morning Prayer, time with the bishop, and a plenary session on how congregations, dioceses and the Episcopal Church work and who does what.

There will be three workshop sessions.  Each workshop session will have three workshops.  There will be workshops on: How to Read a Balance Sheet, Websites and Facebook pages, How to get press coverage for your church, The Basics of Capital Campaigns, Implicit Bias and many others.

There is also time for wardens and vestry members to talk with people from other congregations, get to know each other and see what good ideas they can pick up from each other.

Lunch is provided and the day will end at 4 pm.
